COVID-19

Update – We will be re-opening as of August 3rd 2021. While there are some restrictions still in place, we are now allowed to resume our regular training! We are so excited to see everyone again and get rid of the COVID fog!

According to the breakdown of the new reopening “Stages,” our club will be remaining locked down until at least July 26th 2021, or at the time Stage 3 begins. We are very frustrated with this news, as we are sure you all are as well. Our provincial sporting organization, WAKO, is currently trying to work with the provincial government, to be able to allow our clubs to reopen much sooner. We thank you all for your continued patience and support and cannot wait to have much better news with our next update.

Lockdown…take 3… We once again need to put our classes on hold. Our estimated return date is May 20th, 2021, if this changes, we will be sure to update our main page. When we reopen, we will need everyone to continue to follow the COVID-19 safety measures. We can’t wait to see everyone again, and hope you are all staying safe.

We are excited to announce reopening on February 16th 2021!! Be sure to use the “Reserve a Class” feature here. Of course, safety measures are still in place and we still need to follow COVID-19 protocols. Everyone will need to do a self assessment before attending class, as well as maintain social distancing, and wear a mask. Even though our training is still modified, to ensure the health and safety of our members, we are thrilled to be able to get back into the dojo!

Classes are currently unavailable, due to provincial lockdown. The lockdown has been scheduled to last from Saturday December 26th, 2020, until Saturday January 23rd, 2021. Any changes/updates will be posted here, as well as on our Facebook page. Emails have also been sent to all members with the current information. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing everyone when we reopen.

COVID-19 has changed the way we all do every day things. From wearing masks and extra handwashing, to social distancing, we are all working hard to stay healthy and protect each other.

Here at Cor Martial Arts we have put measures in place to keep our members and their families safe. We have limited our class sizes to allow for social distancing and no physical contact is allowed between members who do not reside together. Members and parents/guardians are required to sign in and out when entering and exiting the facility, to maintain clear records for contact tracing, should it ever become necessary. Classes are booked in advance to avoid overcrowding the facility. We have also created a cleaning schedule to ensure high touch areas are disinfected between each class, limiting possible exposure to COVID-19.

We have seen many changes to the way we train in the past year and it has been difficult to put on hold some of our favourite ways to train. However, we look forward to the future and getting back to the way things were. Until then, we are training hard, and perfecting our skills, so we will be ready when the world is ready to reopen.
